Aditi has a PhD in Human Genetics from Virginia Commonwealth University and postdoctoral research training in Cardiology from Washington University in St. Louis. Most of her teaching experience comes from mentoring high school, undergraduate and graduate students in a laboratory setting. While at Wash U, she conducted a few outreach activities to introduce complex topics like ‘DNA Science’ and ‘Regenerative medicine’ to middle and high school students using activities, games and experiments. After returning back to India, she also conducted a few sessions on ‘Backyard/ Kitchen Science’ and ‘Science and Art’. As a student, Aditi felt intimidated by conventional Science classes and standardized tests. That unpleasant memory drives her to make Science approachable for everyone. In her free time, she is usually looking for avenues to express creativity – by choreographing a dance or in her paintings or via baking.
